Howard Bilow lives in Woodland Hills, California, in a house with a garden that is like a rainforest, is a co-founder of the poets coalition Electric Storm since 1994, a member of Paradigm poets coalition, and the art editor of Abalonemoon, a poetry zine. He is is a plein-air watercolor painter, sculptor, master craftsman, a contact improv dancer, and does architectural designing, Among the many places his work has been exhibited are the Norton Simon Museum, the San Diego Museum of Art, and the E.B. Crocker Crafts Museum in Sacramento, California. His work has also appeared in publications such as Interior Magazine. He has studied poetry with Ellen Bass, Carol V. Davis, Richard Garcia, Nan Hunt, Dorianne Laux, Sarah Maclay, Ellen Reich, and studied dance with Simone Forte. He has a special interest in Native Plants, and volunteers as a Docent at the Malibu Creek Park.
