Melissa Grossman's Biography
|
||||
MELISSA GROSSMAN Melissa began writing poetry as a way to express herself during a difficult time in her life. She would scribble phrases that came to her while at work, and quickly stuff them into her pockets. In the evening, she would empty her pockets, and turn those phrases into poems. Today Melissa writes about various aspects of her life, without fear of being reprimanded by her boss. Now happily self-employed, she writes about love and loss, family, art, nature, and her beloved dog. She belongs two local monthly groups of poetry lovers, who share their own work, as well as other poets’ work they appreciate. For the last four years she has attended poetry workshops with Doraine Poretz, whose guidance has enabled Melissa to find her poetic voice. Melissa is a professional stained glass artist, whose distinctive creative work has been exhibited in two southern California museums. She lives in Simi Valley with her Labra-chow, Ashley Rose. You can see Melissa’s stained glass work at her website:
