I spent the first ten years of my life in the Midwest , before history sent me to live in various other parts of this country and of others, all of which, in one way or another, finds its way into my poetry.

About ten years ago, poetry offered itself as a salve to the pain of a derailed love affair. It was some time later that, thanks to a friend, I began to participate in a formal poetry workshop, where I continue. During these years I have learned, I hope, an appreciation for craft and due respect for that other dimension we all strive to access and which gives, when we are successful, more than full reward for our effort.
