BIOGRAPHY

It seems I have already lived many lifetimes in this one life - mother, wife, psychologist, professor, traveler, activist, Buddhist chaplain, poet and more...and I have loved them all.

STATEMENT
I am a lover of words. I've been tasting them forever, with gusto, and am ridiculously happy to discover a word that I don't yet know. This discovery leads me to getting deliciously lost in a dictionary safari. One of my poems says in part,"There is this love of the very sounds of ...language...how we see by what we hear, the inner language, the words we drink in from that first sudden light..."

Sometimes we are the singer, sometimes the listener, for I believe we are all tellers of tales, and singers of songs. In this way, we envision, create and give meaning to our lives, to this very world. For me, poetry is a co-creative process, which brings together the poet's work and the presence and profound focus of the reader. And for this poetry dance and exchange, as sometimes reader, sometimes poet, I am enormously grateful.

Featured reader at venues including: the Ojai Poetry Festival, Duttons Bookstore, Beyond Baroque, Brentwood Library, the Sierra Madre Library.

Poetry published in: Solo 8, Rivertalk, Spillway, Daybreak.

My book can be purchased at Duttons Bookstore in Brentwood and at Beyond Baroque in Venice.
