Sherman Pearl Biography
 

 

SHERMAN PEARL is a retired journalist/publicist/speechwriter who started writing poetry after age 50.  Since then he has published four collections of his work (most recently, "The Poem in Time of War", Poem.X Press, 2004) and been published in more than 40 literary journals and anthologies.  His awards include 1st prize in the 2002 competition of the National Writers Union, judged by Philip Levine, and 2nd place in the 2001 Strokestown International contest, Ireland's largest poetry prize.
